“Winning the battle but losing our family” by Luke Koors

Gideon followed through and obeyed God in subduing the Midianites but after that it seems to kind of failed in a lot of other things.  He makes an idol out of his victories, forgetting that it was God who won that battle for him.  Then his son by a concubines kills all but one of his other sons.  Something didn’t go right there either.

I almost think that for us we can take from Gideon not to settle for just one great victory in our life and just settle at that.   We should draw closer to God every day – every moment.

Also, we have to remember that our home is just as important as the work field that God has called us to.
