“Boaz (fleetness)” by Justin Pearson

Boaz was a provider, protector and lived a purposed driven life.  Proverbs 18:22 states, whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.”  Boaz found a good thing in a hardworking and faithful Ruth.  Boaz asked around, “whose damsel is this?” In other words, I need to meet this woman.  I remember when I met my bride 27yrs ago walking to the grocery store.  My question was, “is she single or does she have a bo?” She became my good thing like Ruth for Boaz.  He was a provider for Ruth. Boaz told Ruth, “go not to glean in another field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens.” In other words, I will take care of your needs honey, look no further.  Jehovah God will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory.  Why look to the world to meet our needs when Jesus has already taken care of them?  Boaz was a protector.  Boaz told Ruth, “have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee?” In other words, the word has gone out that Ruth holds a special place in Boaz’s heart, so back off! God is our protector and we hold a special place in his heart.  Therefore, the devil must back off God’s children! Lastly, he was purposed driven as a man.  We can’t be driven by our flesh or the intoxicating pleasures in this world, but be driven by holy and righteous living.  Be ye holy, as I am holy.  Without holiness no man sees the Lord. Boaz was a man who epitomizes THE MAN, Jesus Christ!

love you guys,
