Its fitting that these are the last three character studies. They each showed us what we need to do as Christian men in order to become true men of God. Joshua showed us that through obedience to God we can accomplish feats that no man would deem possible. When God spoke to Joshua he listened and obeyed. This obedience pleased God so much that when Joshua prayed “let the sun stand still over Gibeon and the moon over the valley of Aijalon.” That God honor that request.
David showed us that through true praise and worship we can draw near to God, and be men after Gods own heart. He also showed us that no matter how close we are to God, we can still be tempted and fall to sin.
Finally Jesus, the truth the way and the life. He showed us that through Faith in him we can be saved. He showed us through prayer fasting and faith we have victory through Christ Jesus. He was the great example of what it means and what it takes to be a man. He taught us how to pray and how to submit “Not my will but yours be done!”
In closing, I want to thank all the Kings men for their prayers. This challenge has changed my life! I especially want to thank the Men’s Ministry leaders for taking the time to invest in me and the other men of our church. Sir. Rick, Sir. Charles, Sir. Joe, and Sir Justin, I thank you for being obedient and submitting to Gods will. I look forward to the next Challenge.
